For a sec I thought I had overlooked a screening of the Cedric Kahn movie on the 18th, and freaked out--but it looks like it's the similarly titled Ann Hui movie. Too bad.

Looks like we have lots of overlap, although I have to spend some time accounting for all the NYFF titles. No interest in ELENA or BREATHING?

Holy smokes... I obviously have no interest in seeing that Ann Hui joint. I will ditch that ticket the moment I can, though locking in TWIXT is probably more a curse than a blessing.

As much as I haven't liked Zvyagintsev's work to date, I was game for ELENA, but it conflicts with my showings of the Winterbottom and Herzog movies, so I have to pass (the third screening's an hour before my flight home).

BREATHING looks promising as well, but to see it, I'd have to cut House of Tolerance, A Dangerous Method, or Love and Bruises. Maybe the latter is one to skip, so I might consider swapping that one.

Great to find out that you're TIFFing this year! Catch you at the fest...
